Advanced Reproductive Genetic Services

  • Your endometrium plays a very important role in fertility.
  • A healthy endometrium is rich in healthy bacteria - the endometrial flora. Low levels of this bacteria are associated to poor reproductive outcomes in patients undergoing IVF*.
  • EMMA determines your healthy bacteria levels and recommends the best probiotic treatment to balance your endometrial flora, improving your pregnancy prospects.

Who should use EMMA test?

Who should use the EMMA test?

All women wishing to conceive can benefit from the deeper knowledge of the endometrial microbiome provided by EMMA.

This test can be specially useful if you have had Recurrent Implantation Failure (RIF) during your IVF cycles.

  • EMMA will determine whether the uterine microbial environment is optimal or not for embryo implantation.
  • EMMA determines the percentage of healthy bacteria (lactobacillus) in your endometrium. If the percentage is low, the report suggests the adequate probiotic or antibiotic treatment for each patient.
  • This test also reports the most abundant bacteria detected in the endometrial sample, indicating the possible presence of bacterial pathogen, that can cause chronic endometritis or other infections.
  • Microbiology counseling is available for doctors.
